Clinic Staffed for Success

One of the most important factors in the successful conduct of a trial is dependent on the structure of the clinic site. KGK Clinical Trial Centers includes on-site medical doctors, clinical coordinators, phlebotomists, dietitians, and recruiters. An enthusiastic staff able to coach and educate the subjects to achieve a high level of product and protocol compliance is invaluable. Two key ingredients of a randomized controlled trial are the successful blinding and randomization of study subjects. The clinic staff plays a crucial role in adhering to the study requirements at all times, for the entire duration of the study.

What is a clinical trial?

Clinical trials on natural health products are research studies in which people help medical science researchers test, discover or improve the claims that are made on the natural health products that you buy. Such studies help bring new, unique and clinically validated health and wellness products to the market. Having scientific evidence to back up the claims on the natural health products gives you the confidence that the products you are buying are safe and effective.

Who conducts a clinical trial?

At KGK Science, our studies are overseen by medical doctors and we have a proficient team of nurse’s nutritionists and clinical coordinators who will guide you and take good care of you during your time at our clinic.

Who is eligible to participate in a clinical trial?

Each study has its own guidelines called eligibility criteria. To ensure the strongest results, researchers want study participants to be alike in key ways. Examples of eligibility criteria for a treatment trial might be age, gender, weight/height ratio and/or your previous medical history.

Will it cost me any money to join a clinical trial?

No, there are no out of pocket expenses for you to join a clinical trial other than your travel expenses to and from the clinic site. KGK Clinical Trial Centers provides you with all the requirements including compensation and parking fees. Financial compensation for time & transportation expenses will be provided to eligible participants.

How long do your studies go for?

Some studies are only one full day, and others may run for a few weeks or months. The schedule of visits and duration is discussed with you prior to you making a commitment to join the study.

How do I know if I qualify?

If you are interested in a particular study we are recruiting for, you can fill out the contact form for the clinic and area near where you are located. We have clinics in London, Canada, and Orlando, Florida. Initially we arrange a time to go through an initial telephone screening with you over the phone. If you are eligible you may be asked to come to our clinic for a personal screening visit. Once we complete the screening visit, if you qualify you will be contacted to enroll in the study.

What other requirements are there?

Some studies require you to keep a diary of food consumption or certain activities throughout the day. If it is part of the study we provide you with a diary to record and you are paid for this time off site. At KGK our aim is to help advance nutritional knowledge and science and help improve people’s health and well-being. By participating in a clinical trial you will help others by contributing to medical research. We hope you will join us in this effort.
